In addition to Bandera Foods, George and wife Katie own GEORGE Catering, one of the top caterers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. George and Katie were also the chef owners of GEORGE Restaurant which was recognized by the Dallas Morning News as Best New Restaurant in 2004 and by Texas Monthly as 3rd on its Top Ten Restaurants in 2005. Prior to founding GEORGE Catering, George honed his culinary voice at Seventeen Seventeen at The Dallas Museum of Art, The Melrose Hotel, Cafe Max, Baby Routh and Actuelle. For his work, George was recognized as one of the top 10 "Best New Chefs" of 1997 by Food and Wine Magazine. George obtained an associate degree in culinary arts at the Culinary Institute of America - Hyde Park in 1991.
Matt has always shared George’s passion for food and has been George’s partner in business for over seven years supporting the growth of GEORGE Catering.
