We love Fannie Farmer’s Griddlecake recipe and the story behind it! Pair it with some Killer Pecans, Bananas, Bacon and Maple Syrup and you have a breakfast to remember!
Makes 12 medium sized pancakes. Serves 4 to 6
Fannie Farmer’s Griddlecakes
1 ½ cups Flour
2 ½ tsps. Baking powder
3 tbsp. Sugar
¾ tsp. Salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
¾ cup Milk (or more)
3 tbsp. Butter, melted
4 Bananas, sliced
8slices Bacon, chopped, rendered until crisp, drained
1 ½ cup Maple syrup, warm
1 cup Killer Pecans, chopped
- Mix together the dry ingredients.
- Add the beaten egg, melted butter and milk and stir vigorously, adding more milk, if necessary, to make the batter just thin enough to pour.
- Drop by spoonfuls on to a heated and greased griddle or frying pan usin medium heat. When full of bubbles and the underside is browned, turn and brown the other side.
- Serve warm pancakes topped with sliced bananas, crispy bacon pieces, chopped Killer Pecans and maple syrup.
